The Nobel Peace Prize laureate congratulated the Yemeni people on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the 26th of September Revolution 1962.

"The 26 September revolution, a great revolution that overthrew a priesthood and racialist rule that is the worst and the ugliest in human history," Tawakkol Karman said on her official Facebook page.

"We promise that we will never betray, we will never forget, and we will never change [position].”
