Karman: Khashoggi's abduction is an action of a gang has nothing to do with diplomatic traditions
The Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkol Karman said the Saudi Consulate has so far denied the abduction of journalist and media personality Jamal Khashoggi, who was kidnapped yesterday and forcibly disappeared, saying it was a mafia and a gang that is unrelated to diplomatic tradition.
"This is a mafia and a gang that has nothing to do with diplomatic or consular work," said Tawakkol Karman in her Twitter account.
Karman pointed out that the Turkish government will have to break into this “den” and release him to do a good deed not only for Khashoggi but for liberals all over the world, and for international diplomacy as well.
Karman asked: When was the mission of ambassadors to kidnap the visitors of the country where they work and hide them forcibly in the basement of the embassy?!
Karman said it was necessary not only to storm the gang's den to release Khashoggi, but to try those involved in the crime of kidnapping and disappearance. It is a terrorism crime according to the Turkish law, she said.
