Tawakkol Karman publishes last letter to her from Khashoggi
The Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkol Karman revealed the last letter sent to her by Saudi journalist and writer Jamal Khashoggi before he disappeared after entering the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.
The message reads as follows:
My last letter from Jamal Khashoggi:
My good sister
Peace be upon you
Yemen is full of politicians, and when you become an angry politician, you join a long line, but your strength and distinction is that you are the only Nobel Peace Prize laureate, so I suggested yesterday that you make a campaign: Stop the war, stop the coup, stop the death and hunger.
You will find supporters around the world and within Yemen.
But this needs “Tawakkol Karman,” the peace-lover, who is far from politics and its details, even though your invitation is the mother and father of politics.
I am ready to help you in this invitation in favor of my country and Yemen, and both are my homeland.
Let's keep in touch.
Jamal
