The Nobel Peace Prize laureate has condemned the kidnapping of former chief of the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate and 16 other journalists and media figures for their participation in an anti-hate campaign.

Tawakkol Karman, on her official Facebook page, expressed her absolute solidarity with the kidnappers.

Karman said: I condemn this barbaric kidnapping and I consider it a continuation in the Houthis violation and confiscation of the freedom of expression and the suppression against journalists and abusing them.
