The Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Tawakkol Karman, praised the Yemeni parties in Sweden for achieving the first step towards peace by their agreement on the Sweden's understandings today about the detainees, the Sana'a airport and the port of Hodeidah.

"I am certain that a balanced political settlement will ensure the building of a strong, independent, sovereign and civil Yemen, not a military victory," said Karman, on her official Facebook page.

Karman explained that the military victory of the Houthis will bring Yemen back to the dark ages and the era of the Imamate and the priesthood, while the military victory of the other party, led by the coalition, will bring Yemen back to the era of occupation, hegemony, guardianship and separation into many parts.
