Tawakkol Karman: Algerian protests open door for change in the region forever
The human rights activist and Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman said public demonstrations in Algeria in protest against the fifth term of Bouteflika have opened a great door to change in the region, which would never close.
"Today’s Algerian demonstrations demanding immediate change- by far the largest- prove that not only the fifth term but also the corrupt ruling mafia would fall," wrote Tawakkol Karman on Twitter.
"You have opened a great door for change in the region, and this door would never be closed,” she stressed.
