The human rights activist and Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman said public demonstrations in Algeria in protest against the fifth term of Bouteflika have opened a great door to change in the region, which would never close.
"Today’s Algerian demonstrations demanding immediate change- by far the largest- prove that not only the fifth term but also the corrupt ruling mafia would fall," wrote Tawakkol Karman on Twitter.
"You have opened a great door for change in the region, and this door would never be closed,” she stressed.
