The Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkol Karman congratulated rights activist Radiya al-Mutawakil on selecting her by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of 2019 in Yemen.

Time magazine today announced the selection of Yemeni activist Radiya al-Mutawakil, president of Muatanah for Human Rights, among the 100 most influential figures around the world in 2019.

In an article published today, Sen. Bernie Sanders said, “Radiya and her colleagues face dangers every day as they reveal the human cost of wars. As she leads this work, Radiya al-Mutawakil deserves this recognition as one of the truly brave among us."
