The Nobel Peace Prize-winning activist Tawakkol Karman today congratulated the Yemeni people on the 56th anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution, noting that this year’s occasion comes to remind us of the fact that Yemen is living under foreign guardianship. 

"Revolutionaries of 14 October made a great and unforgettable history of self-sacrifice in defense of independence and rejection of foreign projects," Mrs. Karman wrote on social media.

She added that being under foreign guardianship makes it imperative for all free Yemenis inspired by the spirit of October 14 to work together to free their country from all forms dependency and guardianship and preserve the unity and independence of Yemen.
