Nobel laureate at TRT World Forum: Those responsible for killing of Khashoggi are also destroying Yemen
The killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi revealed the true face of Saudi Arabia, said the Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman, adding that those responsible for the killing of Khashoggi have been also responsible for the war in Yemen.
Mrs. Karman’s remarks came in a speech at a special session during ``TRT WORLD Forum 2019'' held in Istanbul, Turkey.
"Such kind of killing could only be carried out by ISIS, she noted, pointed out that the regime that killed Jamal Khashoggi and cut his body into pieces is the same murderer who is killing my people every day in Yemen.
She stresses that Yemenis know that “those bear liability and that Mohammed bin Salman personally ordered the killing of Jamal Khashoggi."
The third annual international forum of TRT World, kicked off in Istanbul on Monday, bringing together opinion leaders and decision makers.
The theme of this year’s event is "Globalisation in Retreat: Risks and Opportunities."
The forum was held over two days with more than 10 sessions to discuss issues that occupy the world agenda such as right-wing terrorism, the rise of populism and nationalism, and the future of the Middle East.
