Nobel laureate: Except for guardianship over Yemen, nothing of Riyadh agreement will be implemented
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman expected that “not even a letter” of Riyadh agreement signed between the internationally recognized legitimate government and the UAE-backed southern transitional council would be implemented.
In a statement on her official Twitter page, Tawakkol Karman pointed out that the Riyadh agreement will not be fulfilled, expecting that only Saudi guardianship over Yemen will be enhanced.
Mrs. Karman called for the need to put an end to the guardianship of the aging authoritarian monarchy over Yemen.
She indicated that the continued practice of Saudi guardianship over Yemen is a shame and that Yemenis should not allow it to continue.
