Tawakkol Karman Foundation concludes “Musanada” program for youth initiatives in Yemen for 2024
Tawakkol Karman Foundation has concluded its 2024 cycle of the “Musanada” program, designed to empower Yemeni youth both economically and intellectually by supporting grassroots initiatives and equipping participants with the skills needed to drive development in their communities and foster a spirit of innovation and leadership.
Over the course of the year, the program supported six youth-led initiatives across three Yemeni governorates. Three initiatives were funded in Taiz, two in Marib, and one in Hadramout, covering a range of sectors including education, economic empowerment, social cohesion, and mine awareness.
In Taiz, the foundation supported the “Noor for Security and Peace” and “Takaamul” initiatives, both focused on improving education quality. In Marib, “My Profession in My Hands” promoted vocational training, while “The Hidden Killer” raised awareness about the dangers of landmines. In Hadramout, the initiatives “Mark of Change” and “Our Sport is Peace”—implemented in the cities of Mukalla and Seiyun—focused on community awareness and strengthening social bonds through sports and volunteer activities.
Musanada aims to facilitate youth integration into the job market and inspire them to take part in positive change, ultimately contributing to sustainable development across Yemen.
Launched in 2022, the Musanada program has since supported a variety of youth initiatives in Taiz, Marib, Aden, and Hadramout. These projects span fields such as education, the arts, environmental protection, and the empowerment of people with disabilities—aligned with the foundation’s vision of investing in youth potential and strengthening their role in shaping Yemen’s future.
