Through its "Haith Al-Insan" program in its seventh season, Tawakkol Karman Foundation has provided a young man from Al-Mudhaffar district in Taiz with the opportunity to start his own business—a mobile toy shop that brings joy to children across the city.
Musad Saeed Ghaleb Ghanam was forced to leave school at the intermediate level due to financial difficulties and has worked in various trades since childhood. He started with construction work using stone and clay, then moved on to selling fruits and vegetables before settling on selling children’s toys.
Musad always dreamed of becoming a father. Even before marriage, he had already chosen names for his children. After getting married, he went from one doctor to another and underwent several medical procedures, spending everything he earned on treatments, but without success.
Despite his personal struggles, Musad found happiness in selling toys and interacting with children. However, he needed a stable business to continue earning a living.
A new opportunity
Recognizing his determination, the 'Haith Al-Insan' team supported Musad by providing him with a tuk-tuk (auto-rickshaw) and a collection of children’s toys, allowing him to start his own mobile shop.
Musad expressed his happiness and gratitude for the support, emphasizing that this initiative has given him a fresh start and a better chance to sustain his livelihood.
