On Wednesday morning, work officially began on the Al-Mahwasa village water project in Khanfar District, Abyan Governorate, as part of the Haith Al-Insan program, funded by Tawakkol Karman Foundation.
The launch ceremony was attended by Abyan Governorate Deputy, Abdulaziz Al-Hamza, Tawakkol Karman Foundation representative, Engineer Saleh Awad, and Director of the Mother and Child Center in Abyan, Saida Yahya, alongside a large gathering of villagers from Al-Mahwasa and surrounding areas.
The project includes a deep-water artesian well, equipped with a comprehensive solar power system within a fenced area that houses a pumping and control room.
