Tawakkol Karman Foundation announced that it will sponsor the project of opening and paving the Jarah sub-district in the Al-Misrakh District, Taiz Governorate after receiving a request from the inhabitants to end their long suffering.

Jarah sub-district composes six villages inhabited by 4000 citizens who felt desperate as they faced great hardships while trying to bring food into the sub-district. And because of the road roughness, many children dropped out their education, and many people passed away in the mountains during attempts to transfer them to hospitals.

Tawakkol Karman Foundation provided 80 million Yemeni riyals in favor of this project, which began to be implemented on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, to put an end to the suffering of the people of Jarah sub-district that lasted for years despite their repeated appeals and calls to the local authorities.
