Human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has declared that Egypt is on the cusp of a new revolutionary wave, one that will bring an end to the ongoing turmoil and steer the country toward freedom, prosperity, and dignity.
In a message posted on her official Facebook page, Karman marked the anniversary of Egypt's January 25 Revolution, calling it "the greatest revolution in Egypt's history." She paid tribute to the revolutionaries who fought for change while condemning the military coup and the subsequent counter-revolution that have led Egypt into a period of "misery, corruption, and tyranny."
Karman expressed confidence that Egypt is on the brink of a transformative wave that will resolve the current chaos and pave the way for a brighter future.
