Tawakkol Karman, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, accused Bashar al-Assad’s regime of detaining thousands of Syrian women in special prisons on charges of supporting the Syrian revolution.
Karman tweeted that more than 6,000 Syrian female activists are detained in Bashar al-Assad’s prisons due to their involvement in the revolution.
She expressed her pride and admiration for the detained Syrian women, saying: "Glory to you, fighters for freedom, how proud I am of you."
