Nobel Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has condemned Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, labeling him an "international criminal" for inciting violence against the new Syria.
In her post on Facebook, Karman criticized Khamenei's involvement in the destruction of Syria and the suffering of its people, asserting that neither he nor his regime should escape justice, and emphasizing that accountability is inevitable.
Karman's statement was made in response to a post by Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei, in which he claimed that young Syrians had nothing to lose, as their universities, schools, homes, and lives were all unsafe.
Khamenei questioned what they should do, asserting that they must stand with strong will against those responsible for the state of insecurity, expressing confidence that they would overcome these challenges.
