Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman will participate in the G20 Social Summit, held in Rio de Janeiro from November 14th to 16th.

As a renowned human rights activist and advocate for democracy and freedom, Ms. Karman is scheduled to speak during the summit, sharing her extensive experience and insights on human rights, peace, and social justice.  

This significant event, under Brazil's G20 presidency, aims to integrate civil society's diverse perspectives into the global governance of the world's leading economies.  

Themed "Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet," the summit will tackle critical global challenges, including climate change, economic inequality, poverty, and environmental degradation.

The summit will convene a diverse group of participants, including representatives from civil society organizations, non-governmental stakeholders, and government officials from G20 member countries.  Discussions will focus on collaborative solutions for a more equitable and sustainable future.

The G20 Social Summit's outcomes are designed to directly influence the subsequent G20 Leaders' Summit, ensuring that civil society's concerns and recommendations are central to final policy decisions.
