Nobel laureate mocks Hezbollah's claims of attacking Israel
In a sarcastic social media post, human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman mocked recent claims by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah that the Iran-backed group had targeted the "Israeli depth."
Posting on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Karman said: "Southern Lebanon witnessed yesterday the largest fireworks display in the Middle East, thank you Hassan Zummyta, you delighted us."
Karman's comments were in reference to Nasrallah's statements, in which he claimed Hezbollah had carried out attacks deep inside Israel. However, Karman appeared to dismiss these assertions as mere "fireworks" and propaganda.
