Nobel laureate slams Houthi militia for deadly attack in Radaa
Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has strongly condemned a horrific act by the Houthi militia in the city of Radaa. The group reportedly bombed two civilian homes in the Al-Hufrah neighborhood, killing and injuring dozens of residents.
Tawakkol Karman sarcastically stated on her official Facebook page: "Today, the Houthis executed 'a grand attack on Israel' by blowing up two houses in Al-Bayda Governorate, demolishing them along with their residents."
She further commented: "This is their beloved method of fighting 'Israel' since the beginning of the Houthi pandemic in 2014. These crimes far exceed what the Israeli Zionist occupation has committed against Palestinians throughout its dark history of crimes and massacres. Thus, the historical mission of Yemenis appears to be to overthrow this pandemic and reclaim their capital and state, be it sooner or later."
Based on information from medical sources, the devastating incident resulted in over 35 fatalities and injuries. The majority of the victims were women, children, and elderly individuals. Remarkably, one person was over 80 years old, and nine members of a single family were among those who tragically lost their lives.
