Nobel laureate heads for New York to attend event on post-conflict Yemen organized by Nobel Women's Initiative
Today, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman is scheduled to join a discussion meeting on Yemen in New York, with the participation of several Nobel laureates.
The event organized by the Nobel Women's Initiative will shed light on post-conflict Yemen and possible ways to achieve peace based on for dimensions, namely education, women's civil society, development, and human rights (peaceful resistance - the artist's contribution to building peace).
In addition to Tawakkol Karman, her US and Liberian counterparts, the human rights and political activist Judy Williams and peace activist Leymah Gbowee, are going to participate in the discussion meeting .
