The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has headed to Texas to participate in the annual Austin Festival.

Tawakkol Karman is going to participate in a session entitled "The right to Truth & Trust in the Age of Disinformation" at the Austin Convention Center, where participants will address disinformation as a global problem.

The participants will also discuss the possibility of establishing an independent and credible international committee on the information environment similar to the International Panel on Climate Change, with the task of setting transparent standards and lead to a healthy global information environment.
