Nobel laureate: My full solidarity with Ukrainians' right to struggle against dictator Putin
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist has expressed her full solidarity with the struggle of the Ukrainian people against the fascist dictator Vladimir Putin.
"I am with the struggle of the Ukrainian people against the dictator Putin and his Nazi army," Tawakkol Karman said today in a statement on her official Facebook page.
She strongly attacked those showing their support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine, describing them as lovers of slavery.
"It is true that the West has conspired against our Arab Spring and aspirations for freedom. But it is also true that only the fans of despots and slave-lovers support Putin and his wars", she added.
She indicated that while the fascist dictator Putin invaded and destroyed Syria, the west kept watching silently as if it were blessing his crimes and massacres against Syrians, adding that "by doing so, the West actually gave Putin the green light to invade Ukraine and so far beyond".
