The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has announced to present a symbolic cash prize to several hundreds of youths as part of her permanent efforts to combat extremism and support activities that promote acceptance of others.

In a statement on her official Facebook page, Mrs. Karman wrote to say: “I am pleased to present a symbolic gift to a total number of 523 female and male participants in in the memorization-related activity concluded yesterday in Taiz governorate….”.

Karman addressed all the participants, saying: “May God make you a benefit to your country, your nation, and humanity as a whole, as well as messengers of love and peace, and combatants of all forms of intolerance and hatred.”
