The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakol Karman has called on the Sudanese people to lead a new revolutionary wave against the military coup led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, chairman of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan, and his deputy, powerful General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.

“Practically, the military in Sudan has plotted a coup and taken steps to implement it, and the rest is mere details. Al-Burhan and Dagalo will not leave the power except through a new revolutionary wave that throws both them in prison next to their inspiration and godfather al-Bashir”, Tawakkol Karman wrote on social media.
