Nobel Laureate salutes world’s women on International Women's Day
On International Women's Day, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has saluted women all over the world.
In a statement on Facebook, Tawakkol Karman wrote to say “ On International Women's Day, the salute to women everywhere as they are struggling for healthy societies where men and women live equal in rights and duties.”
Salute to them as they are contributing to the global renaissance, with diligence, perseverance, dedication and sincerity, she added.
She continued to say “salute to women forcibly disappeared and detained in prisons of tyrants like Al-Sisi, Bashar Al-Assad, Bin Salman and Bin Zayed, and those in Houthi militia’s detention camps.”
Mrs. Karman pointed out to women “who are struggling for freedom, and creating civilization, glory and well-being, and to those “at the forefront of revolutions and movements of change, who serve as “a fortress of societies in time of disasters and tribulations.”
