Nobel laureate condemns new massacre in Yemen by Saudi-Emirati air force
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, strongly condemned a new massacre committed by the Saudi-Emirati air force on Wednesday in Al-Jawf Governorate, northeast of Yemen.
"Initial field reports indicate that the air raids on Wednesday killed at least 11 civilians, including many children and women, in the village of Masae’fa to the east of Al-Hazm city in Al-Jawf," the United Nations Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator in Yemen said in a statement.
On her official Facebook page, Tawakkol Karman wrote: “I strongly condemn this heinous crime by the criminal coalition and call on our people to stand together again to expel it from our country.”
She called on all human rights organizations and the International Criminal Court to work to prosecute bin Salman and bin Zayed as the perpetrators of massacres against humanity.
