The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, saluted today’s mass demonstration in Shabwa governorate in support of Yemeni legitimacy and rejecting the fragmentation projects.

Tawakkol Karman, on her official Facebook page, wrote: “People of Shabwa governorate today took to the streets in large numbers to confirm their alignment with the federal Yemeni state and their rejection of projects of fragmentation and external guardianship.

 “Undoubtedly, if the people in Aden are given the opportunity to express their opinion without being met with violence and suppression by the coup militias, they will take to the streets in the same numbers and repeat the same words,” Ms. Karman said.
