Yemen’s human rights advocate and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Tawakkol Karman emphasized that what peace in Yemen needs is to compel the putschists to stick to the previous agreements, but not to have new ones.
In a statement posted on her Facebook account early today, Karman said, “We lack for neither initiatives nor settlements as long as they are not respected and protected from being violated”.
She added, "We have enough of initiatives, agreements and consensuses enhanced by seven UN resolutions."
“The only thing we are lacking in is to compel the other side to honor and implement all agreements reached”, she concluded her statement.
