Peace and human rights activist and Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman has reiterated the greatness of February’s Peaceful Popular Revolution she described as a renewable and sustainable event for which the Yemeni people will keep struggling
until the fascist coup and the counter-revolution fall down and Yemeni dream’s dawn breaks.
This came in a lecture Karman delivered in front of many youth leaders coming from around the world to participate in the World Summit of the Nobel Peace Prize laureates in the Colombian capital Bogota.
During the lecture, Mrs. Karman touched on several aspects of the Yemeni revolution that resulted in overthrowing the then president Ali Abdullah Saleh and entering into a transition process, which was aimed at bringing the country into stability.
She also shed light on Iran’s interference in Yemen's affairs by providing different forms of support for the Houthi putschists and its close ally ousted president who led a coup against the internationally recognized government in early 2015.
