The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman today met the members of foreign relations committee in the Swiss parliament during a visit to the federal palace in Bern.
The visit to Switzerland’s parliament has coincided with Karman’s participation in events discussing human rights and peace in the Middle East on sidelines of meetings of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Earlier in the day, Mrs. Karman had visited Amnesty International's headquarters in Bern and met a number of officials in the organization.
