The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman today paid a visit to Amnesty International's (AI) Swiss Section in Bern and met a number of officials in the section.
This visit to the Swiss Section has coincided with Mrs. Tawakkol Karman’s participation in some activities related human rights and peace in the Middle East, organized on the sidelines of meetings of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Amnesty International (AI) is London-based non-governmental entity and a global movement of more than 7 million people in over 150 countries and territories who campaign to end abuses of human rights.
It seeks to carry out research and take action to prevent and put an end to grave abuses of human rights, and to demand justice for those whose rights have been violated.
