Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Obaid Bin Daghr has lauded the roles played by the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Tawakkol Karman, for national issues and in order to support legitimacy, restore the state, end the coup and build sustainable peace in Yemen.
This came during a meeting between Karman and Bin Daghr at the headquarters of the Yemeni Embassy in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
"We will remain keen on achieving a lasting, just and comprehensive peace, which puts an end to the ongoing conflict, and this will only be achieved through the full implementation of the Gulf initiative, its executive mechanism, the national dialogue conference’s outcomes and UN Security Council resolution 2216," Yemen’s pro-government news agency (Saba) quoted the PM as saying.
Mrs. Karman, for her part, expressed appreciation of the efforts exerted by the government headed by Bin Daghr to normalize life and ease the suffering of citizens, emphasizing that she will spare no effort to achieve peace Yemenis are yearning for in accordance with the three references (GCC, NDC outcomes and UNSC 2216).
