Across the globe, people’s movements need women to fight corruption, racism, poverty and discrimination, said Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman.
She was addressing a gathering of students and academicians at Sathyabama University, which organised a seminar on Women Empowerment and Human Rights on Friday. She urged the students to develop courage to fight against corruption, dictatorship, injustice and caste system.
While advocating women empowerment, she asked the women to instill leadership qualities among next generation children to usher in a change in the system of the country.
