The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist has congratulated Muslims across the Islamic and Arab nations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Today, Muslims everywhere are celebrating the Eid al-Adha festival; one of Islam's revered observances.
“Happy Eid to everyone. May you all have a very happy and blessed Eid this day and every year”, stated Mrs. Karman in a statement on Twitter.
The Adha, known also as the Feast of Sacrifice or Big Eid, is celebrated by slaughtering sheep as an act of Allah’s obedience just like Prophet Ibrahim did.
This great holiday is one of two Eid festivals observed by Muslims worldwide; the other one, Eid al-Fitr, coincides with the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting.
