Open Meeting to be held in honor of Tawakkol Karman in Norway
Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman today arrived in the Norwegian capital of Oslo for a meeting on conflicts and crisis in the region and the world.
On the sidelines of the event, the Nobel Peace Center is set to hold an open meeting with Mrs. Karman about the challenges in Yemen and why the world needs brave women.
On Friday, the Nobel laureate will also participate at the presentation of the book Nobel Heroes by photo artist Peter Badge, organized in cooperation with the Nobel Peace Center.
The Nobel Peace Center is an independent foundation, financed through a combination of private donations and government grants. Close to 250,000 people visit the centre each year, included over 700 school groups, according to Nobel Peace Center’s website.
