A Yemeni citizen was killed by the so-called security belt of Aden city, a pro-UAE militia in Bir Nasser village located in al-Hawatah area of Tuban District in southern province of Lahij.
Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has condemned the incident, holding the the UAE forces participating in the Saudi-led Arab military coalition fighting in Yemen accountable.
Local media reported that the UAE-affiliated militia shot dead Waddah Hassan Haidra and injured another when they tried to escape from the militia elements who raided Haidar’s water field in Bir Nassar area in attempt to arrest him.
In a statement published on Twitter, Mrs. Karman said the UAE forces in Yemen have been no longer welcome and must leave Yemen immediately because they have become brutal occupying power.
