Nobel Peace Laureate congratulates Yemenis on October Revolution’s 54th Anniversary
Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights defender, Tawakkol Karman, has congratulated the Yemeni people on the 54th anniversary of Yemen’s Revolution of October 14.
In commemoration of the 54th anniversary of the Yemeni revolution that took place on October 14, 1967 in what was then called South Yemen, Mrs. Karman expressed hope Yemen would be restored and liberated from the abhorrent occupation in all its forms.
Karman, in a statement published on Twitter to mark this occasion, pointed out to the irresponsible role and abuses by the military coalition led by the UAE and Saudi Arabia in southern provinces of Yemen, hoping, on the other hand, that Yemen’s capital, Sana'a, would also get rid of the fascist coup led by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia and forces loyal to the overthrown president.
