The Saudi-Arabia-led military coalition fighting in Yemen has committed countless heinous crimes that defy each description and logic, stated Nobel Peace laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman. 

Tawakkol Karman, in a statement on social media, pointed out to a ten-year-old girl who is whose whole family was killed in a Saudi-led coalition air strike in north-western Yemen. 

“The whole family members of Rana were killed in the massacre committed in the Harran district of Hajja province by warplanes of Saudi Arabia and the UAE who had claimed their airstrikes targeted nobody but the Houthi leader Saleh Al-Sammad and his militia companions,” explained Karman.

She added, "two days ago, Al-Sammad appeared completely healthy on the streets of Sanaa, refuting as usual all the coalition’s allegations, which has proved for three years that its raids hit only civilians but escape the putschists and their militias.”

The Arab coalition’ jet fighters launched raids on two houses in the area of Harran in Hajjah province, killing and wounding at least 20 people.

Saudi Arabia and its allies, which receive logistical and intelligence help from the United States, claim they are fighting in Yemen in order to restore to power the internationally government represented by the legitimate president Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi after the Iranian Houthi militia backed by forces loyal to ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh led their coup and took over the capital Sana’a in 2014.

According to the UN, more than 8,670 people, 60% of them civilians, have been killed and 49,900 injured in air strikes and fighting on the ground since March 2015.
