The Nobel Peace laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has condemned in the strongest possible terms the terrorist attack on a mosque in Egypt’s northern Sinai.

At least 305 people were killed and 128 others were injured when militants detonated explosives and sprayed gunfire at a crowded mosque near Egypt’s Sinai coast, according to Egyptian official source. 

"I’m totally confident that our nation will eventually win in its battle against terrorism and tyranny,” said Karman on Twitter, pointing out that terrorists and despots are two sides of one coin. 

The attack started when an explosive went off in a building adjacent to the mosque, and gunmen fired at worshippers as they fled, eyewitnesses told CNN.

The gunmen had set up "ambush" locations and opened fire on ambulances as they were transporting wounded worshippers to al-Arish before the arrival of security services, eyewitnesses reported.

It should be noted here that Sisi has recently expressed concern that “as ISIS militants flee Iraq and Syria they will come to Egypt.”
