An air raid by the Saudi-led Arab coalition today hit a military police facility, leaving at least 100 people dead and wounded in Yemen’s rebel-held capital Sana’a, according to local sources.  

The Nobel Peace laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman strongly condemned the incident, describing is as a massacre.

Karman, in a statement shared on social media, stated this crime is added to a long series of massacres against humanity committed by the Arab coalition against civilians in Yemen.

Some local media reported on Wednesday that seven raids targeted facilities controlled by the Houthi putschists, including the prison housing about 180 prisoners at the time of the attack.

The Saudi-led coalition has been fighting Yemen’s Houthi movement since March 2015. It wants to restore the internationally recognized president, Abed-Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who was driven into exile by the Iran-allied Houthis in late 2014.
