Addressing US Secretary of State, Tawakkol Karman says: legitimate government remains in exile because of Arab coalition
The Nobel Peace laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman said the legitimate government continues to be in exile for reasons related to the Arab coalition,
citing that the president Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi is hindered from returning to his country despite the fact that 80 percent of rebel-held areas has been liberated.
This comes in response to US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's recent statement that his country is seeking a solution between the Yemeni government in exile and the rebels inside the country.
Karman in a comment shared on her Facebook page indicated that what the US official said about the exile is true.
The Saudi-led Arab coalition, she continued, intervened in Yemen under the pretext to support the legitimacy and bring it back to power, but all it has done is disallow the president and his government to go back to Yemen although 85% of its areas has been freed from the control of the coup as Mohammed bin Salman was quoted as saying by the New York Times.
