Tawakkol Karman condemns Saudi-led Arab Coalition for crimes against civilians in three Yemeni provinces
According to Al Jazeera, at least 71 civilians were killed in Yemen in airstrikes carried out by the Saudi Arabia-led military coalition against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia over a 48-hour period.
The Nobel Peace laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman strongly condemned the incidents, describing them as massacres.
Karman, in a statement shared on social media, stated these crimes carried out by the Saudi-led Arab coalition in three Yemeni provinces over 48 hours are added to a long series of massacres against civilians in Yemen.
The warplanes of the Emirates and Saudi Arabia have committed new massacres that left dozens of civilians dead and wounded in Taiz, Dhamar and capital Sana’a, she added.
She stressed that justice will remain absent until the coalition’s leaders and all those involved in massacres in Yemen are brought to the International Criminal Court.
