Tawakkol Karman criticizes “Thank You Salman”
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has launched a scathing attack organizers of the campaign "Thank You Salman", saying that they have committed crimes against politics.
This comment comes as a reaction to activists and officials who have recently launched an initiative to thank Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz who ordered to deposit $ 2 billion into Yemen’s central bank in the interim capital of Aden to strengthen the local currency.
In a statement on social media, Karman pointed out that common interests between countries are based not on “thanking” but on respect for sovereignty and independence.
Karman concluded her statement by saying: "Great Yemen has been lost because of your lack of self-esteem and narrow thinking.”
