Dozens of civilians killed and wounded in air strikes by Saudi and UAE fighter jets in Yemen
The Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman has strongly condemned the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE for committing what she described as massacres against civilians in Yemen, stressing that the two countries will pay the price and will not escape accountability.
In a statement posted yesterday on her Facebook account, Karman explained that the air raids killed many civilians, including five little girls aged between 7 and 15.
“Only hours before this massacre, the evil coalition had committed another one in Saada, which left at least 19 victims,” she added.
She indicated that Yemenis would never forget these systematic crimes, and that the perpetrators will not escape accountability.
