The human rights activist and Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman has launched a scathing attack on on the Saudi-UAE coalition, describing it as “Yemen's first enemy.”
In a statement posted on Facebook, Karman pointed out to remarks made to RT by a retired Saudi general and founder of The Middle East Center for Strategic and Legal Studies, Anwar Eshki, who confirmed that the Iranian-backed Houthi group had seized the capital Sanaa with a green light and financial support from Saudi Arabia.
"Ex-general Anwar Eshki himself tells that the Houthi militia was able to take over Yemen’s capital thanks to support and funding provided by the UAE and Saudi Arabia but not by Iran," wrote Karman on social media.
These remarks, according to Karman, reveal who is the real archenemy of Yemen, indicating that Riyadh and Abu Dhabi pose existential threat to Yemen.
