Tawakkol Karman: Secular democracy is a recipe to avoid sectarian-based fragmentation
The Nobel Peace laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman said that a secular democracy is inevitably required to avoid sectarian fragmentation, regional and intercommunal fighting and all sub-national conflicts.
In a statement on Facebook, Karman pointed out that there is no choice but to adopt a secular democracy, stressing that anything else proved unsuccessful in the past.
