Tawakkol Karman: Saudi Arabia uses Houthi as excuse to destroy Yemen and Hadi’s silence is treason
The Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkol Karman said Saudi Arabia was using the Houthis as an excuse to destroy Yemen and insult the dignity of Yemenis, pointing that President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi's silence about what the kingdom is doing made him a complete traitor.
Karman explained that Saudi Arabia is determined to extend the oil pipeline through Mahrah to the Arabian Sea and not to restore the legitimacy.
Karman considered that Hadi’s decision to dismiss former deputy governor of Mahrah, Ali al-Harizi, who led protests rejecting the Saudi presence in the province, is an evidence of Hadi’s involvement and complicity.
Karman added that his complete silence, if not further evidence of this involvement, is at least evidence of his failure and abandoning his most sacred duties and responsibilities in defending the land and sovereignty, a shortcoming that makes him a complete traitor.
"Unfortunately, Hadi is no more than a door to the disaster and a means in the hand of the enemy to get rid of Yemen, and the worst things against the country have not yet been done, but we will certainly see them if we do nothing to put things right,” she said.
Karman called for 0000Hadi and dealing with him as a failed president to represent Yemen and not have the right to give up any inch of the country and not to sign anything with its name, and dealing with the coalition as an enemy working to occupy Yemen, annihilating its people. She also called for a Yemeni consensus to fold the page of war and make a sustainable peace, a federation that monopolizes the possession of arms, controls sovereignty over all territories of Yemen, the state of all Yemenis, living under it equally and freely, and will do.
Karman said that four years have passed and the plan to destroy Yemen is being implemented every day. There is no longer a legitimate authority representing Yemen but rather devastating it and selling it to the enemies cheaply.
"They want Yemen, geography as a booty, without the population. They say Iran has taken Iraq, we will take Yemen as a booty, the people will die due to hunger, and those who have not died will live as slaves to us on borders or in the desert," Karman said.
