The Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Tawakkol Karman, has accused Saudi Arabia, which she called “horn of Satan,” of being directly behind famine and genocide crimes in Yemen.

"The horn of Satan is behind the mass famine and genocide crimes against the Yemeni people," said Karman on her Twitter. She said that those who hold others responsible justify Saudi crimes and encourage it to commit more crimes.

Karman stressed that “the Middle Ages Kingdom is the one which managed all this devastation in Yemen,” adding: “Do not say Houthi or Iran.”

The United Nations warned on Monday that a massive famine in Yemen “is about to become a reality" that will be difficult to control and held all parties responsible for the situation.

"The Yemenis sleep on a miserable situation and wake up to a more miserable situation, with the rapid deterioration of the local currency against foreign currencies," the UNDP said on Twitter. "The United Nations warnings of a massive famine is about to become a reality that will be difficult to control,” stressing that “all parties must deal responsibly with this situation.”
