Karman to Argentina Infobae: Yemeni women at risk of war and our fight with tyranny did not end
The Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkol Karman confirmed that Yemeni women are at risk of war, asserting that Arab women were at the forefront of the Arab Spring revolutions.
"Women are being killed, whether by air raids or by artillery," said Karman, in an interview with the Argentinian daily Infobae. They are at risk of hunger, water shortage and other serious problems.
"Women are victims before the revolution and after the counter-revolution,” she said.
Karman stressed that the battle with tyranny has not ended yet and it will continue until the establishment of the democratic state.
"There is nothing that can stop our peaceful struggle," said Karman, calling on the Arab Spring rebels to unite against dictators and despotic regimes instead of fighting each other.
